A couple of weeks ago I was in Safeway and I spotted a cheap DVD, a double-bill of The Fugitive (1993) and U.S. Marshals (1998), and I impulsively bought it. I already owned

Every once in awhile a movie comes along where you bond with one of the characters in a completely heterosexual manner. Let me clarify by saying; this list correlates with the character played and not the

Peter Jackson and Guillermo del Toro have officially announced that they're writing The Hobbit and its follow-up themselves. I never thought so much buzz could come from an announcement about writing, but that's what happens when it's The Hobbit! There's not a single thing to be worried about here.

Russell Crowe says he might star in a biopic of the late, great stand-up Bill Hicks, but I can't help but think there are some actors who would be better suited for the role.

It's already the second-highest-grossing movie of all time, a gigantic cultural juggernaut that will soon break $500 million domestically. If you haven't seen "The Dark Knight" at least twice, well, you haven't really seen it at all. And, yet, for some people, the ending of the latest Batman film is still a complete and utter mystery, especially regarding the fate of Harvey "Two-Face" Dent, the villain played with such delicious glee by Aaron Eckhart.

Director Paul W.S. Anderson, known for bringing the monstery violence in Resident Evil and AVP, is also at the helm of the controversial remake of Death Race 2000. We got a chance to talk to Anderson at a press conference, where he explained the best way to run over a camera with a speeding armored vehicle...

We talked up The Wrath of Con party at Comic Con a ton prior to the event itself, so it's only right we share with you a slew of photos from the red carpet as well as the hip-hoppin' party up top the roof of the beautiful Hard Rock Hotel in San Diego.

The latest film from Mike Judge, Idiocracy, is not at all the unfunny flop that you might expect from its very limited release this weekend. I saw the film in a full theater in South Austin, with an audience that laughed frequently and appeared to be quite entertained by it.

As a longtime science fiction aficionado with a weakness for special effects, Francis Lawrence's I Am Legend is catnip to me. That doesn't mean I won't be watching with a critical eye, though.

When it comes to seeing M. Night Shyamalan's The Happening early, the best that Fox publicists can offer me (and other non-daily-newspaper press in Philadelphia) is a 9 pm screening at an inconvenient theater the night before release. I'm going to politely decline, and it's probably just as well.

As I pointed out in my Poltergeist review, I didn't watch much horror as a boy. That's probably a good thing, as even the non-horror flicks I enjoyed often scared the bejesus out of me.

There really is something about a girl with a pasty complexion, long fangs and an unhealthy desire to suck your blood dry. OK, so put like that, it sounds a bit odd. But there’s little doubt that vampires can be very sexy.

Night-vision goggles, periodic spot checks, and staggered data delivery: Batman is using this to fight bad guys -- of the file-sharing variety. Warner Bros' extra steps to keep the movie from leaking and hitting the streets of China Town proved successful in one of the biggest film debuts in history.

It appears that IMDb might have been Hacked. Here is a screenshot showing that The Dark Knight is now ranked both #1 on the Top 250 and #1 on the Bottom 100 of all time.
